Fun and Exciting news for FPTFY

Hi everyone! I am SO very thrilled (and grateful) to introduce to you all, FPTFY newest contributor! She is not only a sweet sweet soul, she is also extremely talented and knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects! I leave you only in the best of hands, so with that said, please help me welcome, Miss Tiffany!

Hi! I’m Tiffany, owner of TiffanyDoodles. My background is web design, graphic design & photography. I have been self employed for nine years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my work! Since childhood, I’ve always been creative and taken great pleasure in drawing and painting. In 2009, I discovered the stamping and paper crafting world and just fell in love!! In a very short order, I began transforming some of my drawings and doodles into “digis”. It has truly been a joy to share them with folks. I get so thrilled every time I see something new that someone has created with one of my stamps!! Each design is like a child of mine and it’s really neat to see it all grown up and out in the world being all it can be… LOL!

All of my digital stamps are originally created by me and of the multiple styles I offer, most are hand-drawn images. Some are brushed up in Photoshop using the pen tool to produce very clean lines and others are left with a sketchy, rustic, hand-drawn look. An additional digi-style is one that I’ve dubbed as PhotoSketches and these are images from my photographs which I transformed into sketches with a little help from Photoshop. These beauties make splendid realistic images for stamping!

One of the ways that I wish to say “thank you” to all of the folks that follow Tiffany Doodles is by offering a brand new Freebie every Thursday. I’ve received a hefty response from this, which has encouraged me to continue creating even more!! I hope you find something you like!!

Getting to know Tiffany:

Where do you live?

I live in a lovely log cabin in little country town about an hour away from Savannah, Ga.

Where do you find creative inspiration?

Everywhere I look! But mostly Pinterest! I’m incredibly addicted to that site! I literally have to pull myself away from the computer in order to have time to make the things I’m pinning! I spend a lot of time in bookstores too! I also find inspiration in the nature around me, wether it’s a pretty leaf or an amazing sky full of puffy clouds! I take care to notice little things. Feel free to follow me on Pinterest! (35 boards w/ almost 4,000 pins!!)

3 crafting supplies you can’t live without?

1) I would have to say my Big Kick die cut machine (with the dies of course!). I just can’t imagine having to hand cut all the shapes I want to make for my cards!
2) The next thing would be my copics! I LOVE being able to blend colors! My favorite technique is blending colors that are not in the same family such as; yellow to green, blue to purple, or pink to orange! I’m a color scheme addict.
3) And finally I can’t live without my watercolor paints! I love to paint my digital stamps for cards, experimenting with unique techniques using various mediums!

When someone asks you what you do for a living, what do you say?

Web Design & Development and Photography is my main income source. I’ve been self-employed (full time) since 2003. I don’t feel like I really work b/c I truely LOVE and ENJOY what I do! I started Tiffany Doodles Digital Stamp store about 2 1/2 yrs ago when I discovered the paper crafting community and realized I could turn my own drawings into digital stamps! It’s grown beyond what I every expected and now I offer a lot more than just digital stamps. Then only recently I began to sew! I started with hand embroidery and now I am sewing little zipper pouches, iphone cases, ipad covers, bags, purses, make-up bags, all kinds of creative stitching! My friends started making requests and placing orders for gifts. And now I find myself sewing quite a bit to earn a little extra income!

What are your hobbies?

I have lots of hobbies! I feel like my hobbies are all the things I mentioned above plus a few more. I love cooking and trying new recipes, I love painting with watercolor and acrlyics. I paint mostly nature scenes like flowers and birds. I love my sewing! I love nature photography and then editing the photos in Photoshop adding special color effects, etc. I’ve been using Photoshop since version 2 before there were multiple layers or multiple undo’s! Eeek! Can you imagine?!?

What’s your standard order at Starbucks?

I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I do love to get a peppermint hot chocolate!

Take us through your idea of a perfect day..

I would wake up and eat an apple w/peanut butter! I would then head upstairs to my craft room and pick what type of project I would want to work on that day. Or perhaps I would spend a little time playing in each section of my craft room and start with sewing and end with painting! I would have an endless supply of reese’s cups & my special spearmint sweet tea!

Anything Else you would like to share..

I look forward to sharing lots of tips and tricks with you guys! I’d love to hear your ideas for tutorials, photoshop techniques or crafty tips you like to learn about!
