DIY Laser Cut Cupcake Wraps
Update: This post was created over 11 years ago when I knew nothing about blogging, taking pictures and so forth. With that said I was actually going to delete this post but I still see that it is getting traffic and didn’t want to upset anyone that was trying to find how I created my own “laser paper cupcake wraps”.

Extend the height to include more of the solid area. Then cut slits in the extra paper to form tabs. Fold the tabs to the "wrong side" of the doily. Then glue or tape the tabs to the smaller doily.
Great idea and so sweet too! Thanks for sharing this, I will definitely have to try it out.
I love cupcakes and this is absolutely the greatest! Can't wait to make up a batch and put these one. Thank you for such a wonderful, beautiful idea!

You are a genius. I have bought wraps in the past and was cringing at the price I was paying! Was thinking about making my own using scrapbooking paper. Your idea is briliiant
Thanks for sharing your template. I can now make wraps to match my toppers from the same paper, lol
this is so clever- thanks for sharing
Now THAT is a GOOD idea! I would never have thought to do that and dollies are perfect, the cuts are so detailed and delicate. You wouldn't want to hand cut all that out, great "cheater" version. Thanks for choosing to share with us A Crafty Soiree! I hope to see you next week too!
What an adorable idea! (You have so many great ideas!!) I hope you'll stop by and share one at the Pretty Packages Party!

Great idea!!
I saw a cupcake wrapper cartridge for the Cricut at my Wal-Mart the other day…this is a much cheaper alternative. ;)
Thank you so much! I too don't want to spend $1 per wrapper, but just love them. I was at the local craft store yesterday looking at them, then the doilies, and wondering if it would be possible to make my own…then I found your blog!
Will be going to the dollar store to save even more $!
I featured you on my blog today, thanks for the fabulous idea and I just bought a package of doilies the other day, now I know what to do with them!!!
Hi i was wondering about how large do the doilies need to be so that the template fits the curve correctly? I’m looking a paper doilies online and I’m worried that won’t work out right and I’ll be stuck with the doilies, defeating my whole save money approach idea.
nevermind, I saw where it said 10 inch!! thank you, can’t wait to try this
Keren, I am soooo glad you didn’t delete this post, and what a perfect idea! I have my youngest Grandson’s Birthday coming up in a couple of months and these will be perfect. THANK YOU so much for your kind generosity and for sharing all your amazing ideas!
Thank you, Chrissy!! So happy it helped you!! :)
Happy birthday to your precious grandson!! Stay safe!
