Hello friends 😊 I wanted to wish you all a Blessed and Happy New Year.
2020 was insane and devastating for most, to say the least.
Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything since Christmas Eve.
I had plans to post a handful of wonderful new freebies, but on that very Christmas Eve Night, it was confirmed that my almost 80-year-old grandmother had contracted covid19 and had to be rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU.
My mother and auntie also live in the same household and had the same symptoms but since they seemed to be doing better than my grandmother and the hospitals are so overwhelmed in California the ambulance did not take them.
It wasn’t until Tuesday morning when things turned for the worse. There are no words to describe how it felt seeing my sweet momma and auntie fight with all their might just to take their next breath 😨😭
It was literally a miracle how the Lord provided a very specific way at that very moment to open up their lungs just enough to start breathing again.
Although they are still extremely weak.. They are both now doing better and on the road to recovery🙌🙏.
We still don’t know what is going to happen with my grandmother.. some days she seemed to be doing better.. some days she takes a turn for the worse.
One of my life quotes that I hold onto tightly and with all assurance is ” I don’t know what tomorrow holds… but… I know Who holds my tomorrow”.
I am not sure if this is going to help anyone.. but.. for me.. being a follower of Yeshua (Jesus) doesn’t mean that my life will be filled with sunshine and roses. On the contrary .. While He was walking on this earth He made it extremely clear that in this life we WILL have much trouble! BUT.. to take heart.. because He has overcome this world and promises us He will never leave us and will be with us Always.. even unto the End if we decide to trust Him.
I know many of you also believe this and many of you don’t. Either way, I just wanted to leave you with a true hope that you can count on.
If you have been a follower of mine for some time you know that I try to spread as much joy and hope as I possibly can..I am sorry if this post hasn’t been as peppy as my usual posts are .. but really wanted to ask.. if you find it in your heart.. please pray for my grandmother Lucia. Thank you in advance to all of you that will be lifting her up!

Updated on 1/18/21: Thank you ALL again for all your thoughtful messages and prayers – they have meant the world to us in this horrible time… My sweet grandmother passed away last Thursday (that is why I’ve been away this past week). It’s been extra tough since she had so much life in her still. She was very active, strong, and mentally all there.
My hope now (and always has been) is for all of you and your loved ones to stay safe and if you do end up getting covid, that it’s a mild case that just comes and goes.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Oh my Word, I am sitting here and was reading this with baited breath. SO relieved to hear your family’s situation turned to the better. Phew!!! You are so correct with your words. As Christians we are told to “take up our torture stake” it is not always all rosey. Nor was it for the apostles. Isaiah 41:10 comes to mind. “Do not be anxious, for I am your God.”
